Atheism is Faith
"Atheism is a much bigger leap of faith. believing in a Nothingness and Timelessness before the creation? subatomic particles? what are their components? whats at the end of the Universe? What happened to String Teory? its disappearing because it requires mathematics we dont understand yet. Atheists believe in all those magical things without a shred of proof. Scientists have no answers. How on earth can you make these giant leaps of faith and say Theists have no proof of a creator? Atheists' beliefs require TOO much faith. Theists have the answer and until Atheists experience God, YOU are the ones who are 'not ready to be unplugged'. ive tried Atheism and found it lacking. have you tried Theism? or are you afraid to?"

BSA Membership Policy
>>What is your greatest concern if the policy remains in place and openly gay youth and adults are prohibited from joining Scouting? (Please be specific.)
The Boy Scouts of America loses credibility as a moral agency in American society when it refuses to bravely affirm its commitment to live by the values in the Scout Oath and Law when it comes to gay youth and adults. Sexual orientation is a private matter that does not hinder participation in Scouting (as proven by mixed gender heterosexual youth participating in the Venturing program and mixed gender heterosexual adults volunteering in all branches of the Scouting program). Discriminating against gays because of their sexual orientation is neither helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, brave, nor clean. Consequently, the BSA's membership policy hampers its ability to promote its Mission & Vision.

title: "The making of the fittest : DNA and the ultimate forensic record of evolution"
author: Sean B. Carroll
pages: 301
review: the core theme was intriguing - comparing the specific spelling errors in DNA that lead to varying adaptations in species. the author had a hard time sticking to the topic, though.

BS-Gay
"The Boy Scouts of America, one of the nation’s largest private youth organizations, is actively considering an end to its decades-long policy of banning gay scouts or scout leaders, according to scouting officials and outsiders familiar with internal discussions."

I knew it was only a matter of time before either the ban on gays was ended or the BSA splintered into a bunch of factions, but I'm surprised it was this soon.

I lied. I spend most of my online time jerking off to photos of these.

Doubt
The article is pretty light on content, and the premise is kind of silly. Numbers are tools and are no more or less meaningful in some transcendent sense than the Craftsman socket wrench set I left in Michigan. I could be biased, though. I find the metanarrative, "truly real", objective meaning, transcendence thing to be incomprehensible.
