All the generic info I've found on the net suggests that this is what
I need to do:
  • Configure my DSL network connection in XP with a static internal IP
  • Setup port forwarding on my modem/router for the services I want to run on my PC
  • Allow incoming access to these ports in my firewall's settings
Of course, I've tried that in every permutation I could think of with my Westell 2200 and it doesn't work. The only means of success I've had so far is by completely disabling the router's function by enable IP pass through to a static IP - a less than satisfactory option. I think the Westell 2200 is probably fucked.
