  You never see my attitude in the press. That's what bugs me. You never see

  my point of view.  For instance...gays in the military.  Now, I don't know

  how you all feel about it.  Gays want to be in the military.  Here's how

  I feel about it, alright.



  Anyone dumb enough to want to be in the military should be allowed in.

  End of fucking story.  That should be the only requirement.  I don't care

  how many push-ups you can do.  Put on a helmet, go wait in that fox hole, 

  we'll tell you when we need you to kill somebody.



  You know what I mean? I'm so sick...I've watched these fucking Congressional

  hearings, and all these military guys, and all the pundits.

  "Hmm...the esprit de corps will be affected and we are such a moral..."

  Excuse me, aren't you all fucking hired killers?!?  Shut up!  You are thugs, 

  and when we need you to go blow the fuck out of a nation of little brown 

  people, we'll let you know.  Until then...where the fucking military get all

  these morals?

  And don't tell me this military protects our freedom.  Hey ladies and

  gentlemen, there ain't no one out there whose a fucking threat to us, ok. They

  don't exist. Uh, eh, I'm talking now only of countries we don't arm first.

  Alright.  If you want to split hairs you got a point...we give them the old 

  weapons, we use the new ones on them.  Fucking Iraq found that out.  You have

  the Scud, we have the Patriot; the Scud times two!

Now, I am an atheist (meaning I fail on a daily basis to see the awlsum power of GOD!!1 in the everyday world around me), so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I would suggest that this American atheist ridicules Christians (instead of Buddhists) for two main reasons:

1. I used to be a Christian and am uniquely qualified (much like Kirk) to bash it.
2. Christianity is thoroughly ridiculous in a way that Buddhism is not.
3. I've never run across a Buddhist - either in real life or online - who has gotten in my face telling me that I must believe like they believe lest their imaginary friend torture me for my honesty.
4. It pisses them off so much when you disrespect their christ-thingy...which I find funny.

The guy in the pictures looks more Orcadian than southern European, but he's got all the sweary gestures down. Mildly witty commentary on the Chilean government is interspersed with some more gestures in a sidebar on the bottom of the page.

I also have to include this Straight Dope article on the middle finger simply on the strength of this Martial quote: "You love to be sodomized, Papylus".

I'm on the County's message alert mailing list thingy so that I can keep abreast of road and school closures. I also receive the crime alerts, too because I shamelessly delight in reading about the depraved activities of my fellow citizen's from time to time. The following paragraph is from a recent alert:

Gomez was located by Erehwon Sheriff's Deputies hiding in a shed outside the residence. He was charged with abduction, sexual assault, assault, and damaging a telephone to prevent summoning of law enforcement. He is being held without bond at the Erehwon Adult Detention Center.

Is that really a crime?

A fairly clever re-synch of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance scenes from B2TF 1 and 2. I found the link to this on the Cinephilia blog, which I found by accident while doing a google search for scoop.

Anyway, the challenge is simplicity itself for all the fundie godbots out there. Come up with a coherent non-contradictory account of what happened to your christ-thing from the resurrection through the ascension taking into account all 4 gospels and Acts 1:3-12. Do not omit any details. Simply read your infallible Scripture and come up with a chronology of every event detailed therein.

Once you've got it all sorted out, just send it to me. Jesus knows my email addr, so just ask him - he'll tell you.

I grabbed this collection because of track 2's title, "Man's Ruin". I thought the song could have been the source for the great defunct record label's moniker, but The Slapbacks formed in 1995 - after Man's Ruin Records was already in business.

Anyway, the song has the tasty mix of punky riffs and old skool elvisy vocals. I didn't expect it but I'm slowly being drawn in by some of this modern rockabilly stuff.

The flog is now staking a claim in the Catholic Mass Sex department, too. Hot Christian Sex Tips was one of the Ad Sense ads along the side, which I found amusing.
