The latest eruption of the creation/evolution debate as a non-topical tangent on /. led me to this interesting little forum post.

I have to wonder what the creationist hand-wave is to atavisms of this sort. Is it more interesting than the dismissal of atavisms of the H S Thompson sort? I doubt it.
